Turnul Tabacarilor is the one of the oldest towers, this thing is proven by the simple design. It is so simple as it doesn't seems like a tower.

It has square foundation, with small dimensions.

Placed in the Southeastern part of the citadel, it had the role of defending the interior yard of the Tower with the Clock (Turnul cu Ceas).
