The Shoemakers Tower

The Shoemakers Tower was built in 1521

  • in 1603 it was fortified
  • in 1606 after the improvement, it's partially destroyed
  • 1650 is the year of it's reconstruction
  • in 1676 the tower burned
  • in 1681 it is rebuilt gathering it's actual form

     

    • The Shoemakers Tower marks the Northern part of the citadel's wall. It has hexagonal base and it's shorter than the rest of the towers. The baroque style has a deep imprint on it. The tower had a bastion of artillery, demolished in 1846.
